Right now I’m listening to Kirk Franklin, “Still (In Control)”. I remember when the Lord first gave me this song to listen to last year (around October or so). I was sitting on my bed not knowing what to do with my life. God was telling me to walk into my promise land but I didn’t know how to go about doing such a thing. I was frustrated, stressed, sad and just didn’t know what to do. I remember sitting on my bed talking to the Lord; asking Him questions because I was nervous and afraid, for life as I knew it changed. Just then, the Lord used one of my friends to give me the message, “Still (In Control)”. While listening to the song, I just thanked the Lord and my spirit rejoiced. I thanked the Lord because the song ministered to me in such a way that I knew it was only the Lord who was letting me know, “my child, I’m in control”.
Here’s the chorus of the song:
He’s still in control
He’s sovereign and He knows
Just how it feels to be afraid
Have folk you love walk away
Be still and know He’s still in control
This song expressed exactly how I felt and what I was going through but how great is our God that He’ll take time to see about us to let us know that He’s in control, he’s sovereign and He knows just how we feel. Today, while playing my iPod, the song came on. Before the song played, I was starting to feel as I did back in October but once the song came on God brought back to my remembrance that even when I feel like I’m alone, when I feel as though I don’t know which direction to go, God is still in control. Even now, I thank God for telling me through his word,” I’ll never leave you nor forsake you and that He’ll be with me even until the end of the world.”
I just want to encourage you today. Know that God is in control. Don’t worry about how you’re going to pay that bill, how you’re going to make it another day or any other thing that’s consuming your mind; know that God is the source of your favor and he will provide and open doors for you. Things will happen in your life that will cause you to stand and know that it was no other than God almighty that has brought you through.
My friend, don’t be weary, don’t be scared or discouraged, God has heard your cries and will come to you. God even tells us in his word that this is so, “Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). God’s word shall never return back to Him without accomplishing the task of which it was set forth to accomplish. Stand and see that the Lord is good, stand and see the salvation of the Lord. God will make a way through; he’s a way maker and a provider. So the next time the devil tells you how you’re not going to make it or how you’ve been forsaken, know that God promises in His word to never leave you nor forsake you and rest assure knowing that the Lord your God is in control. God bless you.

This is great.Even though we don’t always see it,God is always in control! He is everywhere and nothing goes unseen by him. That is why he deserves all the Glory and honour and praise.
