…ING
Much of my life I stared at the forest
unable to see the trees… blinded (struggling)
Swept away, planted in shallow materialism
entangled in the snares of addiction (running)
On a scavenger hunt for love through lustful terrain
sampling every common thing (searching)
Hanging from weakened limbs
soon broken by heavy burdens (falling)
I found myself on the edge of a cliff,
glancing back at the dark, cluttered forest (contemplating)
No! I can’t go back
only despair, gloom and death reside there (fearing)
Tears flowing, clenched fists, squinted eyes and bitten lip
I call out to the Lord and step out on faith (praying)
Relinquishing my will, ways and life…
for His (surrendering)
He catches, mends an restores me
In Christ, I am now (living)
Nestled in His arms
I understand, He is so (loving)
He revealed how He always cared
and was always there (working)
I never knew my true worth
until I met my Maker (understanding)
Accepting the price Christ paid,
He brings substance to my nights and life to my days (prospering)
I enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise (worshipping)
Pressing on into the Holy of Holies
acknowledging Him in all my ways (glorifying)
Realizing it was never about me, but all about Him,
through Him I can do ALL things (conquering)
Now, I’m an instrument of honor
in the hands of my Creator (ministering)
Growing
Giving
Doing
Interceding
Seeing
Releasing
Walking
and
Proclaiming the name of Jesus!
This is my (calling)
