Divine Intervention: Piercing the Darkness

February 1, 2012

In every life there is a storm or two; a storm that really stands out from the rest; a storm that once survived, comes to define you some how.
For me one such storm, and there have been many, came as just that, a devastating treacherous storm system moving through the pan handle of Texas and Oklahoma in the summer months of 1993. Our little family was traveling to visit the grandparents and my husband was contracted to DJ for his 10 year high school reunion in Midwest City.
Weary from the many hours on the road, in two vans, and ...

The Prodigal Son: A Time for Everything

February 1, 2012

Although I have been growing up in church all my life, I never really personally believed in God until I was entering grade five. The time I first accepted Christ into my life was during a summer bible camp they were doing a play on the prodigal son how the son did so many horrendous things to his father taking all his father’s fortune and leaving home, once he spent all his money he was in the dumps, feeding pigs and as poor as he has ever been. One day after many years he mustered up all his courage to ...

Keeping My Promise to God

January 31, 2012

January 3rd and April 18th will always be very special days in my life. As the reader of this letter, I must let you know that it is by the grace of God that I may be able to share this testimony with you.
My story begins on May 9th 1996. I was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on Marijuana possession charges. Though, the events which lead up to this are relevant, it is not the focus of this story. Let’s just say, what the Officers did was unethical and I should not have been arrested.
After being ...

A Ray of Hope

January 29, 2012

I just want to give all glory and praise and blessings to my Great Jehovah God who is our strength and our help for his mercy endures forever. Lately my mother has been going through some trials; some of them being health issues that have withstood all her prayers and fasting, have been making her depressed to the point of affecting her speech. Sadly, it seems I’m the only one in the family that seemed to notice her change in disposition and so with all my heart and soul I determined to cheer her up in any way I ...

Hope is Coming

January 26, 2012

I was saved by God’s grace towards the end of July, 2010, and I thank God that he saved me at that time when he did. I wasn’t a teenager going around drinking and smoking, but I had a lot of problems and things happening in my life that I never thought I could overcome.
Growing up I never went to church and none of my family were Christians, but my friend invited me to a gospel concert her church was holding, and I decided to go along, at this time I had no intentions to accept God into my life. ...

Turning a Life Around

August 8, 2011

This has been one of the most trying times of my life. My girls and I have lived in four different places in the last six months. Most mornings we have woken up at 4:30AM and haven’t made it back “home” until after 8. I have worked so hard, and I have allowed God to lead my steps every moment. I decided to write this because I believe I have a story worth telling, one that is meant to be heard by those who may be suffering discouragement. I know discouragement, I know hopelessness, ...

I Know What Faith Can Do!

April 11, 2010

With God in your life you can “Make it happened like a Captain”.  There is no time like the present. There will always be wars and hard times, but what does that mean. God expects you to keep moving and keep doing… The father determines the final curtain call.
Religion is not what God wants us to focus on. What God wants us to focus on is “his word”, keeping “his commandments” and “loving one another”. When Jesus preached to his disciples at Mount of Olives he never mentioned religion at all. In fact there ...

Faith That Pays the Bills

October 1, 2009

I was called out of the “world’s system” in August 2008 and I can truly say with no exaggeration that life has never been the same.  I’ve written about this in many of my previous entries so I will not go into too much detail about it now; however, I do urge you to read about it through the links I’ve provided for you below, but for now, I will simply say that Deuteronomy 8:2-4 pretty much summarizes this experience:
And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to ...
